The Role of Honey Bees and Native Pollinators in Agriculture and Home Gardens
Come along to hear local apiarist David Briggs and native bee enthusiast Karen Retra discuss the importance of honey bees and other pollinating insects to our gardens, crops and local flora. We will also have the opportunity to look for pollinators in a local garden and discuss how we can have pollinator friendly gardens and farms.
The Moyhu Lions Club will be serving bacon and egg rolls and freshly brewed coffee at 9am, with our workshop commencing at 10 am. We will also hold a short AGM over breakfast.
